The Autocord was an instance where I was done by an eBay seller. A supposedly undamaged set of lenses had significant scratches. But I accepted it because it was cheap enough to be a project.
Its problems include:
- Scratched viewing and taking lenses.
- Missing Knob and scale for the focusing rack.
- Twisted back that would not sit correctly
- Crack in corner of ground glass
- Missing catch for viewer
This picture is near to restoration but I will never have a focusing scale.
Some test shots taken with the Autocord during part of the restoration are remarkably clear for a camera with a damaged lens.
