The Freedom Tele AF (Auto Focus) is seen as being a fairly interesting camera in the developing of the Minolta AF cameras. It was taken up by Leica and re-badged as their AF-C1. There is discussion about this, from the Leica side, at:

I bought this one to have a try at Kite Arial Photography, something that has been in the back of my mind as something to try since about 1974 when I was flying kites on Blackheath Common with my Wife and Children.

The Freedom Tele looks ideal because it has a good lens, is motor driven and all firing can be turned over to electronics - with a few mods. I found second one even cheaper than the first and got it just in case....
